Miss Kristy will be here soon!

We’ve been busy lately with preparing for Miss Kristy’s arrival this weekend! She is a dear friend whom I’ve known through email for several years now, as well as had the pleasure of meeting last month at a friend’s wedding.

She’ll be staying with us for a little over a week and a half, learning all about the day to day life of homeschooling, homekeeping and how not to go insane. Of course, I’m unqualified to teach all of these, but she doesn’t seem to mind.

Lord willing, we won’t all be sick for her arrival. My second oldest has what seems like the fllu the past 2 days, so we’re praying it doesn’t spread. UGH.

On the agenda for her stay are sewing, knitting, scrapbooking, a few field trips, and finishing up our school year while she’s here. I’m praying it’ll be a profitible time for all of us, and that she would feel blessed and welcomed in our home. We’re all very excited to have her here!

Ode to the really groovy hubby

My hubster turned 36 today.

Amazing how chipper and alert he is at his age. See?

Um. That’s my second born to the left. She’s trying to stop being so formal for photos and lighten up a bit.

Anyway, I thanked my spring chicken hubby today for what a wonderful husband and father he is. For how he works hard for us so we could have food, shelter and good quality ice cream.

What more can a woman want?
